Feast of the Drunken Dragon, Feast of Buddha and Feast of the God Tam Kung

The Feast of the Drunken Dragon - of which the UNESCO Intangible Heritage-listed Drunken Dragon Dance is held on 28/4 this year - is an annual Chinese tradition of long standing in Macau, in which performers imbibe wine and dance in Kung Fu-style steps. You are welcome to join the procession when it starts at Sam Kai Vui Kun (Kuan Tai Temple) off Senado Square at 9:00am. In addition, dragon bow rice distribution and Drunken Dragon Dance performances will be held in Red Market around 9:30am and noon. On the same day, the carnival of the Feast of Buddha features a dedication ceremony, while over in Coloane Village the Feast of the God Tam Kung is celebrated with Chinese Opera performances, a colourful parade, and traditional Pun Choi (Basin Food) dinner served to special guests. Your camera is a must!
