Get Your Camera Ready: Discover Chic and Photogenic Spots in Festive September
Since 1980, the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) has designated September 27th each year as World Tourism Day, to promote awareness of the importance of tourism around the world, particularly its social, cultural, political and economic value. As one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, Macao has captured the hearts of many tourists across the globe with its abundance of quality tourism resources. Besides the Historic Centre of Macao that has been inscribed on the World Heritage List and its status as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, the city also boasts the biennial cultural and arts festival "Art Macao" (Sep to Oct), picturesque Instagrammable spots, and unique trendy shops for original products, as well as numerous fascinating tour itineraries and stunning natural wonders.
In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival (Sep 21st), festive light decorations are scattered across the city serving as seasonal offerings for visitors to take photos. Colourful murals located in different corners of the city are some of the best places to snap a picture or reminisce about the old Macao.
