The Macau Band Directors Association continues with its 2018 Macau Band Fair, which started last month. One of the highlights for July is a concert at the Dom Pedro V Theatre by the Amstel Saxophone Quartet, an ensemble described by the organisers as “the world's most colourful saxophone quartet”. The programme includes a few songs from Leonard Bernstein's famous score for the “West Side Story” musical. The show lasts for about 90 minutes, with a 15-minute intermission. Also in July, there are three free concerts scheduled as part of the 2018 Macau Band Fair programme, featuring student bands from local schools and from schools in the Taiwan region.
