With children off school for the summer, the Macao Cultural Centre keeps them busy with the ARTmusing Summer 2018 programme. One of the highlights is the Scottish Ballet’s modern makeover of the Brothers Grimm tale “Hansel and Gretel”. This production – lasting about two hours including a 20-minute break – will be danced to live music performed by the Macao Orchestra. “The Way Back Home” brings to life the award-winning illustrated book of the same name by Oliver Jeffers, through animated puppetry and music. This performance, lasting 50 minutes and aimed at children aged four or older, is staged by Ireland’s Branar theatre group and the Danish company Teater Refleksion.
