The China Cultural and Natural Heritage Day has been celebrated annually since 2006 on the second Saturday of June. It aims to raise public awareness about the importance of safeguarding cultural heritage. To mark the occasion, the Cultural Affairs Bureau is organising several activities, including free visits to World Heritage sites and museums, talks and a heritage photography course. The course takes place on Jun 10th at the Macao Museum Auditorium, between 10:30am and 5:30pm (registration: www.icm.gov.mo/eform/event or +853 8394 1218). The bureau is also hosting a promotional carnival highlighting the city’s intangible cultural heritage, and which takes place at the Mandarin’s House and the adjacent Largo do Lilau on Jun 9th and 10th, from 12:00pm to 6:00pm.
