23rd Macau Myanmar Overseas Chinese Water Festival

Macao has a significant community of people with roots in Myanmar; the Myanmar Overseas Chinese Water Festival celebrates that country's traditional New Year, while seeing off the old, with revellers sprinkling water on each other and offering prayers. The highlight is an outdoor Water Festival Carnival on April 22. In the heart of the Three Lamps district, a very popular Myanmar and Southeast Asia Cuisine and Cultural Festival is held, where residents and visitors can look for authentic delicacies from that part of the world.
