Parades, Performances & Competitions

Lots of activities are lined up for Chinese New Year, with the Golden Dragon and Lion Parade slated for the first day (28/1, 11:00am), whereby a 238-metre long golden dragon and 18 lions will prowl and prance from the Ruins of St. Paul’s to Lilau Square to A-Ma Tample and Sai Van Lake Square.

The God of Fortune, Gods of Happiness, Prosperity and Longevity, 12 Chinese Zodiac Mascots, Entourage Boy and Girl, five Macao Tourism Ambassadors plus dragon and lion teams will traverse Macao, distributing red ‘laisee’ packets and souvenirs (28-29/1). Meanwhile, the Lion Dance Competition will be held in Senado Square (30/1, 11:00am) with Lion Dance and Wushu performances hosted by Tap Siac Square (31/1, 4:00pm).
