Spring is in the air - with lots to do in March in Macao. This month features the perfect blend of East meets West, with the traditional Chinese celebration of the Feast of the God Tou Tei (Mar 8th), with its traditional lion dance, followed by the Procession of the Passion of Our Lord, the God Jesus (Mar 9th-10th), which passes through the streets of Macao. The spirit of the city as a meeting place of cultures is reflected in "Dialogue Between the East and the West" (Mar 9th). This concert by the Macao Chinese Orchestra brings together the Western cello and Chinese traditional tunes. There is more music during the month, with three-time Grammy Award-winning band Maroon 5 (Mar 3rd) playing its first-ever show in town. The annual Script Road - Macau Literary Festival (Mar 15th-24th) is back, bringing to the city renowned writers, film-makers, actors, visual artists and musicians from Greater China, Portuguese-speaking countries and elsewhere.
