June marks the start of summer in Macao, and is a month filled with activities, from culture to entertainment and sport. One of the highlights is the Macao International Dragon Boat Races 2018 (Jun 16th-18th), bringing to Nam Van Lake a number of local and international teams to face off in a festive environment.
For those looking for something more bucolic, the 18th Macao Lotus Flower Festival (Jun 8th-17th) is just the thing, featuring dozens of lotus blooms at the zenith of their beauty. Also worth visiting is the "Marc Chagall, Light and Colour in Southern France" exhibition, Macao's first-ever showcase of artworks by Russo-French painter Marc Chagall.
In the spiritual realm, the Procession of St. Anthony (Jun 10th) pays homage to one of the most venerated Catholic saints in Macao, with the annual event attracting a significant number of devotees.
Two divas are set to star at the Cotai Arena at the Venetian Macao this month. Liza Wang celebrates her five-decade career via "Liza Wang 50th Anniversary The Timeless Concert – Macao" (Jun 23rd). Days later, Canadian singer Celine Dion returns to Macao (Jun 29th-30th) on her Asia-Pacific 2018 tour.
