July 2017

All Around the City

July means time for Summer fun family activities in Macao. Experience the leisure of a marine cultural trip and learn about the fishing industry in Macao by participating in Marine and Water Bureau Day Activities and Fun Fishing Boat Cruise held throughout the city.

Meet Macao's Giant Pandas and Red Pandas, or get into the great outdoors by visiting Hac Sa Reservoir Natural Park and Grand Taipa Natural Park. Families will also enjoy what the Macao Science Center and Anim'Arte NAM VAN have lined up, too. Want to splash about a bit? Then head for the Slide the City water ride; meanwhile, kids will be entranced by the cuddly toy bear at the Rilakkuma's Sweet Time Exhibition, and sports fans won't want to miss FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix™ Macao. Plus the Macau Street Dance Festival. Check out some cool concerts and performances or explore Macao's rich tourism resources by attending the Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo.

The Feast of Lu Ban, Feast of Kun Iam, Feast of Kuan Tai and Feast of St. Roque commemorate great and historic events, while the Macao Orchestra and Macao Chinese Orchestra have some special musical treats in store for the closing concerts of the season. Music of a different tempo can also be enjoyed at the Macau Band Fair 2017 and gigs presented by the Rui Cunha Foundation.

Museum-goers looking for exhibitions are spoiled for choice by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Macao Foundation, Macao Museum, Macao Museum of Art, Ox Warehouse, and 10 Fantasia, with lots of choices to ruminate on the milestones that have influenced and shaped this multicultural city. As ever, details of events, times, places, maps, transport options and a helping hand are just a sweep away of the fingers on your smart device!
