All Around the City

Chinese New Year - always much anticipated - is with us this month! The parade floats of The Parade for Celebration of the Year of the Rooster are a great draw, as are the traditional Firecrackers and Fireworks lighting up a variety of celebrations throughout the city. Valentine's Day and the Chinese Lantern Festival have a special place in everyone's heart, while there's no better way to explore the city than on foot - follow the eight walking tour routes themed Step Out, Experience Macao's Communities on your way to one of the Valentine's Day concerts.

The Feast of Shigandang, Opening of Kun Iam Storehouse and Feast of the God Tou Tei transport one and all back to the roots of folklore, which should also include a visit to No. 80, Rua das Estalagens, the beautifully renovated Patane Library and the many types of museum in Macao.

Macao provides numerous parent-child activities including the first-ever real snow mega event Amazing Snow in Asia carnival in Southeast Asia, Kung Fu Panda Academy and Planet J Theme Park. Plus lots of outdoor activities at Anim'Arte NAM VAN and Grand Taipa Natural Park, not to mention checking up on Macao's Giant Pandas and newly arrived Red Pandas.

Riverdance holds the Guinness World Record for 'Longest Riverdance Line', Macao Cultural Centre's Let Our Dreams Set Sail, Open Box 2017 and Phone Show Carnival 2 Saxophone Ensemble Concert provide a cornucopia of entertainment, while exhibition-goers will be spoiled for choice at the Macao Museum of Art, Ox Warehouse, Creative Macau, Macao Foundation and Macao Fashion Gallery. Purchase unique foods and drinks offered by the Portuguese-speaking Countries Food Exhibition Centre - and never be lost for information about everything else that's going on in Macao this month: you're just an app or phone call away, whether it's entertainment, transport schedules, dining, shopping, events, historic sites and much more.
