Sounds feature throughout October, with the 32nd Macao International Music Festival (Sept 28th – Oct 28th) bringing to Macao artists and groups from all over the world. And the beat goes on with international pop diva Mariah Carey (Oct 20th) coming to Venetian Macao.
The Sands Macao Fashion Week (Oct 18th-24th) is showcasing local designers, including the debut of the Spring/Summer 2019 collection from Nuno Lopes, the first Macao fashion designer to be featured in Vogue magazine. At the Taipa Houses promenade, the 21st Lusofonia Festival (Oct 19th-21st) offers – in a relaxed atmosphere – food, music and dance shows typical of each of the Portuguese-speaking countries and regions around the world.
The 2018 Macau Taoist Festival (Oct 20th – Nov 11th) highlights the rich heritage wrought by centuries of Oriental spiritual beliefs, customs and culture.
Macao is also a city of gastronomy. Food and drink lovers will likely find it hard to resist the pull of the Michelin Guide Street Food Festival (Sept 29th – Oct 2nd), and Oktoberfest Macau at MGM (Oct 18th-20th and 22nd-29th) at MGM Cotai.
